It’s tough to imagine a time when T-Shirts were not particularly prominent, or were indeed frowned upon when worn as workwear or for recreational purposes, but it was only in the 1960’s that the humble t-shirt became acceptable outerwear. This was mainly down to people like John Wayne, Marlon Brando and James Dean wearing t-shirts as fashion items rather than as underwear which was the social norm at the time.

As said, T-Shirts are essential items of clothing in this day and age, and are especially so to be used for workwear, although there are several factors to consider when choosing the right t-shirt for your needs.

If your workload is light, or you work in a lower temperature or if you just want a bit of extra comfort from your workwear, the best option would in our opinion be a 100% cotton t-shirt. Cotton t-shirts are a better option than Polyester for staying warm, and they are incredibly durable. It’s a well known fact that Cotton is amongst the strongest natural materials on the planet!

Our 100% cotton t-shirts come from top workwear names such as Fruit Of The Loom, Gildan and Hanes, so you can rest assured they are quality products.

That’s not to dismiss Polyester workwear t-shirts by any stretch, and we have a great selection of those too from big brands such as Slazenger, Kooga and Kariban.

Polyester workwear t-shirts hold many advantages over cotton, in that they are much more lightweight, meaning your skin can breathe easier, and you can stay cool on the job. This is particularly useful for those doing manual labour, or working in warm weather where you may perspire more.

If you’re having trouble deciding, our expert sales team are standing by waiting for your call, and can guide you through the ordering process from beginning to end, as well as advising as to which products would best suit your needs.

You can also ask them about the superb printing and embroidery service we offer on all our workwear. Having your company logo printed on any t-shirt can make for a very useful promotional tool, as we’ve discovered through recent surveys.*

On average 240 people will see your logo on a t-shirt per month. Of those 240 people, nearly a third have said they are ‘much more likely’ to use that company due to having heard of them. That’s around 80 potential new customers per month, per shirt!

When Brookes printing and embroidery services start at just £1.10, you could be paying less than 2p per new client. A great deal by anyone’s standards.

Our staff will help you every step of the way with this, so give them a call now on 0844 209 6389 to discuss all your workwear needs.
